Core Strength
Service Description
Many women confuse core strength with an abdominal six-pack. So what is the "core," and why is keeping it strong so important? The core is a group of muscles stabilizing the pelvic region and controlling the spine. It also has a strong influence on both the legs and upper body; therefore, in essence, our entire body's performance depends on core strength. Core strength is critical to maintaining posture, ease of movement, preventing injuries, boosting resilience, easing recovery from acute injuries, and so much more. Many women in their forties and beyond have seen their parents struggle due to suboptimal fitness, and they want a different experience as they embark on the rest of their life's journey. This workout focuses on core awareness and activation by utilizing compound movements relying on core engagement. Regular practice of these exercises leads to healthier movement patterns that allow for increased mobility and more effortless performance of daily tasks while promoting increased opportunity for future independence.
